Snatched from the jaws of the mighty Río Puelo

Please scroll down for the update.

Our cabin in Llanada Grande in 2004 or 2005. On the banks of the Puelo River.

One of the last decent places in the world where the state has yet to interfere in the lives of free people.

The Puelo has eaten the porch off the front of the cabin

The rest of the structure is teetering and ready to fall the ten feet down onto the rocks and then into the cold water.

Snatched from the jaws of the mighty river, the cabin was disassembled and in this picture is being rebuilt. It is now designed to be dragged by ox teams back from the river in an operation known as a minga.

UPDATE

Here is the finished cabin, now christened: La Salvada
